Expert meeting at the steering meeting in Yaounde chaired by the Secretary of State of the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Hans Nyetam Nyetam, responsible for Roads, said they are now laying down their plans to speed up the work and maximize the budget of 2013, estimate at 36 billion CFAF, meanwhile, he mentioned the Garoua-Boulaï- Ngaoundere work, as well as the Garoua-Boulaï/Nandéké 92%. While the other two sections, namely, Nandéké / Mbéré (95%) and Mbéré / Ngaoundere (99%) are off for various reasons. He further stressed on the contract for the Maroua-Kousseri road specifically the Mora-Dabanga stretch have been programmed, while tenders with the construction at the unique checkpoints at the Cameroon Chad boarders around the Kousseri have been launched.

Moreover, the contract for the rehabilitation of Maroua-axis Kousseri, Mora-Dabanga section length (132km) was notified on 02 August 2013, amounted (49 366 110 578) billion CFA francs.

Speaking in the meeting the Inspector General Incharge of Technical Question Mr. Ngeima Patrice Essono made it clear that, they have to build the corridors by putting in all the measures that can enable traffic move smoothly, for corridors like, Douala-N’djamena, Douala-Bangui.

The committee members says they will intensify work to render the two corridors more compactable and secured for the growth of economy of the members states CEMAC, and the improvement of the living condition of the people.
