16th Edition for Secretaries and Executive Assistant’s Day: MINTP was there

A one day seminar organised by the “Executive Assistants and Secretaries of the Organization of Cameroon” (EASO -CAMEROON) on 25th April 2014, in Douala, at the conference room of the inter-management group of Cameroon (GICAM), presided by the National President Madam POLA Christine and Dr. ESSAMZA, under the theme:  “New requirements, New skills” with eighteen (18) Secretaries from the Ministry of Public Works who participated in the seminar, the seminar itself took 10 hours.

Speaking during the event, Madame MARIE LISSOUCK, Regional President and organizer of the said event, thanked the different administrations who left their posts of secretaries for two days to attend the International Day of the Secretary.  She urged the secretaries to show brilliance in the trust giving to them by their hierarchy, and love their job.

In other to form the secretaries, an exhibition was made; it was done by Dr. ASSAMZA and Madam POLA, who enlightened participants on the values and importance of the job of secretary and executive assistant’s in an institution. Secretaries are to provide clerical and administrative support, perform tasks such as typing and filing, answering phone calls and make appointments for their supervisor, meanwhile, the executive secretary or administrative assistant may do those things, but also has responsibility for more senior-level functions such as research, interacting and the selection of database management.

During the discussions that punctuate the work, particular emphasis was made on the managers to closely assistant in all phases of the work.
