NECROLOGIE : Le MINTP fait ses adieux au Professeur TANE Pierre

Le Conseiller Technique No 1 du Ministère des Travaux Publics repose désormais à Bamenkombo son village natal où il a été inhume le 14 Septembre 2019.
C’était en présence du Ministre des Travaux Publics, Emmanuel NGANOU DJOUMESSI accompagné de ses proches collaborateurs avec à ses côtés le Représentant du Ministre d’Etat, Ministre de l’Enseignement Supérieur et une importante délégation du personnel du MINTP.
Bien que plongé dans une tristesse, parlant notamment de sa famille ou de ses collègues enseignant qui ont tenu à rendre hommage au Pr TANE jusqu’à la dernière minute à travers non seulement des hommages académiques rendus la veille à l’Université de Dschang, mais aussi avec le piquet universitaire fait autour de la dépouille le jour de l’inhumation.
Le Pasteur célébrant de l’office religieux a trouvé dans l’évangile de Saint Luc les textes de réconfort pour les proches du Professeur TANE. Dans son homélie il a invité les vivants à ne point s’interroger sur les faits malheureux qui surviennent au cours de leur existence. L’essentiel c’est de se repentir, car dit-il la grâce divine est gratuite pour celui qui répond à la grâce de Dieu par la fois en Jésus.
Avant l’inhumation, de nombreux témoignages ont été faits, parmi lesquels celui du représentant du MINESUP, d’une délégation du Comité Central du RDPC, du représentant des Recteurs de L’Université de Dschang et de l’Académie de L’Ouest au Tchad ainsi ceux de la famille et de quelques associations dont le défunt était membre.
Au registre de ces témoignages, celui du porte-parole du Ministre, l’Inspecteur General chargé des Questions Techniques, AWOH NDANG Denis. Dans son discours, il garde du Conseiller Technique le souvenir d’un homme sérieux, travailleur et dévoue à sa tâche. Il était, a-t-il souligné, un homme méticuleux, pointilleux et perfectionniste, qui était reconnu pour ses compétences, ses convictions profondes d’homme politique engagé. Le Pr TANE laisse un vide qu’on ne saurait jamais combler. La série d’hommage a était close par le propos de gratitude de la veuve a l’endroit de ceux qui l’ont soutenu depuis la disparition de son époux. Elle se félicite d’avoir été aux côtés de cet enseignant d’Université pendant 30 ans.
Né en Septembre 1959, le Professeur TANE Pierre obtient son Baccalauréat en 1980 au Lycée de Bafang, suivie des études supérieures à l’Université de Yaoundé I, sanctionnées par un Doctorat d’Etat en ‘Natural Products and Medicinal Chemistry’ en 1997.
Sur le plan professionnel, le Prof. TANE Pierre en 1989 a été tour à tour Charge de cours dans le Département de Chimie Organique en 1992, Chef de ce Département en 2000, Maitre de Conférence en 2003 et Promu au rang de Professeur Titulaire en 2010. Entre 2005 à 2010, il occupera la fonction de Doyen de la Faculté de Science de l’Université de Dschang. En 2017, il sera nommé Conseiller technique No. 1 au Ministère des Travaux Publics, poste qu’il occupera jusqu’à sa mort.
Promu au grade de Professeur et ayant occupé des hautes fonctions dans la sphère universitaire et au Service de la Nation, Prof. TANE Pierre d’après ses pairs, a rayonné par ses enseignements. Il a été un brillant chercheur et ses travaux font autorité. Il compte parmi les savants de la Chimie des substances naturelles et laisse à son actif en moyennes 160 publications scientifiques dans les revues internationales, 30 résumes de contribution scientifique, auteur de plusieurs chapitres dans les livres portant sur les domaines clés de la Chimie des Substances naturelles.
Il laisse un grand vide auprès de ses enfants attristés et éplorés, sa famille universitaire et professionnelle.

OBITUARY: MINTP bids farewell to Professor TANE Pierre
The remains of the Technical Adviser No. 1 of the Ministry of Public Works, Professor TANE Pierre has been laid to rest in his Bamenkombo village, last September 14, 2019.
It was in the presence of the Minister of Public Works, Emmanuel NGANOU DJOUMESSI accompanied by his close collaborators alongside the Representative of the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education and a delegation of the MINTP staff.
In spite of the gloomy atmosphere, his fellow colleagues paid tribute to Professor TANE until the last minute through not only the academic tributes the day before at the University of Dschang, but also with the university picket made around the coffin on the day of the burial.
Drawing his inspiration from the Gospel of Saint Luke, the Chief celebrant of the day comforted the family in his homily in which he invited the living not to question the unfortunate circumstances surrounding their existence. Rather to bear in mind that the essential thing is to repent, for divine grace is free to him who responds to the grace of God through Jesus.
Before the burial, many testimonies given, among which that of the representative of MINESUP, a delegation of the Central Committee of the CPDM, the representatives of Rectors of the University of Dschang and of the Western Academy in Chad, the family and some associations of which the deceased was a member.
Found in the register of eulogies, was that of the Spokesman of the Minister of Public Works, the Inspector General in charge of Technical Questions, AWOH NDANG Denis. In his speech, he pointed out that the Technical Adviser was serious, hardworking and devoted to his task. He will be remembered for his meticulous, fastidious and perfectionist attributes and was equally known for his competence and deep convictions as a committed politician. Pr TANE leaves a void that can never be filled. The tribute series was closed by the widow's gratitude to those who supported her since the disappearance of her husband. She is proud to have been by the side of this university teacher for 30 years.
Born in September 1959, Professor TANE Pierre graduated from Government High School Bafang in 1980. He pursued his higher education in the University of Yaoundé I, where he obtained a Doctorate Degree in Natural Products and Medicinal Chemistry in 1997.
His professional career began in 1989 as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Organic Chemistry of the University of Yaounde I in 1992, then Head of this Department in 2000. He became Associate Professor in 2003 and was later promoted to the rank of Full Professor in 2010. Between 2005 and 2010, he occupied the post of Dean of the Faculty of Science of the University of Dschang. In 2017, he was appointed Technical Advisor No. 1 in the Ministry of Public Works, a post he held till his death.
Promoted to the rank of Professor and having held high post of responsibilities in the university sphere and in the Service of the Nation, Prof. TANE Pierre according to his peers, distinguished himself as brilliant lecturer and researcher and his works are showing forth. He is one of the prominent scientists of the Chemistry of natural substances that leaves to his credit at least 160 scientific publications in the international magazines, 30 abstracts of scientific contribution, author of several chapters in the books on the key fields of the Chemistry of Natural substances.
His death leaves a big void in the hearts his grieved and distressed family, his academic and professional family.
